• JANUARY STABLEFORD: On Saturday, January 14, 2012, flight partners Nancy Douglas and Ingrid van Thiel both had excellent round of golf, with Nancy scoring 42 Stableford cards which was good for first place in the B-flight and Ingrid scoring 41 points which was good for first place in the A-flight.   • SENIORS OFF TO A QUICK START: On Saturday, January 7, 2012, Ad Kolen was the only player in a field of 42 players to shoot under his handicap. His net 69, earned Ad the Monthly Medal in the A-Flight and also the first first-place EC points of the new year. In the B-Flight, Germen Kroeger and Elly van Vliet both shot their handicap.   • The United States Golf Association (USGA) and the R&A have announced the publication of the new Rules of Golf for 2012-15.

    Changes in the Rules - which for the first time have been designed, published and presented jointly by golfs governing bodies - include exonerating a player from penalty if it is known their ball was moved by the wind after address.
