Monthly Medals - May 2012: This past Saturday, Rob Vermeulen shot the afternoon low 4 strokes under his handicap to capture the medal in the A-Flight and also the 500 first-place EC points. This performance catapults Rob all the way to 5th place in the EC standing. Second place in the A-Flight went to Jai Daryani who shot a 67 net and whose game seem to finally be coming around. Eric Vesseur decided to "slow it somewhat down" and as a result shot 4 over par, good for a net 68 and 3th. place in the A-Flight. In the B-Flight it was Inez Muys who took home the medal with a net score of 68. Second place in the B-Flight was shared by Tina Vermeulen and Jan Driesprong who each shot their handicap. For a complete match result, click here. 2012 Queen's Birthday Cup: On Monday, April 30, 2012, Willem de Bruijn (B-Flight) captured the the 36-hole marathon 2012 Queen's Birthday Cup by outscoring Said Flores (A-Flight) on the last 6 holes. Both players had a total of +1 Bogey points, +5 points for their second 18 holes and +4 on their last 9 holes. The tie was finally broken because Willem scored +4 on the last 6 holes versus Said's +3 point. It is worth the mention that Said Flores shot a gross 66, 4 under par in his second 18 holes. This is the second week in a row that Said breaks par. In the afternoon Side Match, it was Yvette Bovens who scored +4 points to capture first place. For a complete match result, click here. Stableford - April 2012: On Saturday, April 21, 2012, Jai Daryani accumulated 41 Stableford points to capture first place in the A-Flight. Said Flores shot a gross 68 which was good for 40 points and second place in the A-Flight. Rick Adriaans also broke par that afternoon with a gross score of 69. In the B-Flight, it was Joe Blanchard who captured first place with 39 points. Tina Vermeulen came in second with 38 points. For a complete match result, click here. 2012 General Membership Meeting: The annual General Membership Meeting elected by acclamation Denis Muys as the new President of the club, in addition to three new commisioners, Luis de Lannoy, Myra Vesseur and Anthony Richardson. Secretary, Ton van der Heijden was re-elected while comissioners Chris Quast and Darryl Rosheuvel whose terms end next year, stayed on to join the newly (re-)elected board members.
